Mercado on Fifth is searching for a new Program Manager plan to oversee summer market operations, off-season programming and community collaborations. Below is the job description. If you are interested in applying, please follow the application procedure detailed at the end of this post.
Responsibilities:
Develops and coordinates year-round, family-friendly programming that celebrates Hispanic culture and promotes our local small business community
Actively recruits new vendors, volunteers, partners and donors
Maintains strong communication with all stakeholders
Promotes events through various traditional and social media channels
Seeks out opportunities to share Mercado on Fifth’s mission (Rotary presentations, etc.) and attends community meetings on behalf of the organization
Communicates and responds to inquiries over phone, email and social media
Maintains good data on programming outcomes
Monitors and achieves all assigned budgets
Works with board/committees to plan for market growth and development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Fluency in Spanish
Experience in event planning
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
Marketing skills (experience using multiple social media platforms, a general knowledge of media releases)
Financial knowledge i.e. budgeting
Organizational skills and familiarity with Excel
Passionate about Hispanic culture, community and small businesses
Flexible schedule - ability to work nights and weekends
Compensation and Benefits:
